Pediatric Associates of Dayton, Inc. has an immediate opening for an LPN or RN. Pediatric Associates of Dayton is dedicated to providing high quality healthcare for infants, children and adolescents in the Dayton area with office locations in Kettering, Beavercreek and Englewood. We are looking for friendly, high energy, team oriented people who love working with children. Office hours are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with rotating Saturday mornings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Rooming and evaluating patients
  • Taking history and vitals
  • Accurate and timely medical chart documentation
  • Maintaining medical supplies and stocking rooms
  • Using and maintaining sterilization equipment
  • Assisting physicians with minor procedures
  • Providing excellent customer service to our patients and their families

Requirements:

  • Applicant must have current Ohio LPN or RN license and valid driver's license.
  • Applicant must be available to travel to all Pediatric Associates of Dayton, Inc. offices when needed for coverage.
  • Previous pediatric or family practice experience preferred but not required.

Busy Pediatric practice is looking for an experienced Medical Insurance Billing/Collection representative to be part of our team at our Englewood office location. The ideal candidate for this position must have EXCELLENT customer service skills, be detail oriented, have basic accounting knowledge and ENJOY working with people in a TEAM atmosphere. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. No Saturdays or evenings.

The Medical Insurance Billing/Collection representative is responsible for insurance billing and collections. This person will have various duties including managing delinquent patient and collection accounts, working directly with patients and their families on billing questions, educate discussing various payment plan options offered, sending patient collection letters and work with outside collection and billing agencies. Daily and month end balancing to the PM system and bank statements for payments received is required.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and telephone skills and strive to achieve high patient satisfaction.

Additional responsibilities include

  • Verification of insurance benefits
  • Processing of insurance and patient payments
  • Answering account and insurance inquiries from patients

Requirements:

  • Two years MINIMUM experience in medical insurance billing and collections, preferably in an office environment
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with patients, insurance representatives and co-workers
  • Must have the ability to work independently, requiring little or no direction in performing day-to-day responsibilities
  • Must be dependable, reliable and a good role model
  • Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers
  • Must have an attention to detail with the ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Knowledge of insurance company reimbursement procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding and medical terminology
  • Ability to read and understand EOB's involving adjustments, COB, non-allowed amounts, co-payments, etc.
  • Must have sound decision-making skills
  • Basic accounting and computer skills
  • Allscripts practice management experience a plus
